Tour Plan

1 DAy 1 : Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

06:30: Gather at the Red Chilli Kampala reception for a comprehensive briefing from your knowledgeable driver-guide. Alternatively, arrange a convenient meeting point of your choice.

06:45: Set off in a customized 4×4 pop-top safari vehicle, embarking on a scenic journey southwestward from the bustling capital city.

09:30: Arrive at the Equator, a fascinating geographical landmark marking the division between the northern and southern hemispheres. Take advantage of the opportunity to capture memorable photos straddling both hemispheres and enjoy a brief snack and restroom break.

12:30: Pause at the Agip Hotel in Mbarara for a satisfying lunch break. Alternatively, opt to bring along a packed lunch to enjoy en route, immersing yourself in the picturesque landscapes.

18:00: Reach Rushaga Gorilla Camp, situated just within the park's boundaries. Check into your cozy en suite twin cabins, where comfort and serenity await. Indulge in a delightful dinner at the camp, relishing the flavors of the region as you recount the day's adventures.

2 Day 2 : Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

06:30 Rise early for breakfast before your 7am gorilla tracking briefing and departure. Exact tracking duration depends on which group you are tracking and where they happen to be situated at the time of your visit.

Whilst you will be treated to a full magical hour with these magnificent creatures, the entire experience may take anything from 2 to 8 hours. Lunch will be a packed lunch from the camp, enjoyed in the forest. After your gorilla trekking, you will return to Rushaga Gorilla Camp for dinner and another night.

Optional Extra: If your gorilla tracking experience is short enough, it may be possible to add on a waterfall hike – this may take anything from 2 to 5 hours depending on how much you stop along the way. Take a plunge into the bottom of the icy waterfall if you are brave enough! (Additional Cost: $30 per person).

3 Day 3: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to Kampala

06:00: Start your day bright and early with a packed breakfast in hand as you embark on the scenic journey back to Kampala.

Throughout the Day: Enjoy the picturesque landscapes and vibrant scenery during the drive. Your driver-guide will arrange for a lunch break at a suitable spot along the route, ensuring you have ample time to refresh and refuel.

18:00: Depending on traffic conditions and the exact time of departure, anticipate arriving back in Kampala by this evening. Reflect on the unforgettable experiences of your safari adventure as you bid farewell to the wilderness and return to the bustling city life.
