Tour Plan
Day 1
Departure and Arrival to Murchison falls
Depart at 7.30am in a customised pop-top safari minibus with driver/guide (max 8 passengers per vehicle).Take a brief break in Masindi, before proceeding into the park.
14:00 Take a boat ride on the serene waters to enhance your safari experience. Glide along the Nile and witness the beauty of the surroundings from a unique perspective.
17:00 Travel on to the Red Chilli Rest Camp on the south bank of the Nile at Paraa (approx arrival time 17.30). Accommodation consists of safari tents with twin beds, including bedding and shared bathroom facilities (but not towels). Upgrades to en suite bandas with solar hot water are available on request (please enquire for pricing/availability).
Day 2
Full day in Murchison Falls National Park
Early Morning:
- 6:00 am Wake up to a delightful breakfast at your accommodation. Enjoy a hearty meal to fuel your energy for the upcoming morning game drive.
- Early morning game drive. Embark on an exhilarating safari adventure, exploring the northern part of Murchison Falls National Park. Traverse the savannah in search of diverse wildlife, including elephants, lions, giraffes, buffaloes, and an array of bird species. Capture the beauty of the sunrise, creating a picturesque backdrop for your wildlife encounters.
Midday:
- 12:00 pm: Return to your accommodation for a refreshing break and lunch. Relax and relish a well-deserved lunch, appreciating the comfort of your lodge or camp. Take a moment to reflect on the morning's wildlife sightings and share stories with fellow travelers.
- Enjoy a delicious lunch at your accommodation. Savor a variety of culinary delights, blending local and international flavors.
- 2:00 pm Head to the Top of the Falls. Embark on a scenic drive to the Top of the Falls, where the Nile River forces its way through a narrow gorge, creating the stunning Murchison Falls. Marvel at the powerful rush of water, capturing memorable photos against the backdrop of the Nile. Explore the surroundings and appreciate the sheer beauty of this natural wonder.
- 4:00 pm: Return to accomodation
Day 3
Game drive & return to Kampala
8.30 Cross the Nile to enjoy a final game drive along the Wangkwar or Delta sector, for approximately 3 hours before leaving the park. A final chance to spot some more wildlife!
11.00 Leave the park and head back to Kampala. Stop for a bite to eat at Kabalega Diner (or bring along a packed meal ) before continuing with the homeward journey.
18.30 Arrive back in Kampala between 17.00 and 18.30, depending on traffic.
