Tour Plan
Day 1
Journey to Kidepo Valley National Park
Begin your adventure with a refreshing cup of tea or coffee before departing from Kampala with your Lettuce Tours and Travel guide. Embark on a scenic 9-10 hour drive in a comfortable 4×4 Safari Van or Land Cruiser, helmed by an experienced Uganda tour guide.
Take the Kampala-Nakasongola-Kitgum route, enjoying the picturesque countryside, charming homesteads, and notable landmarks such as River Kafu and Karuma Wildlife Reserve. A lunch stop will be made en route. Upon arrival, check into your selected accommodation in Kidepo Valley National Park for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2
Game Drive and Visit to Karamajong Manyattas
Have an early breakfast before setting out for a thrilling game drive through the Narus Valley of Kidepo Valley National Park. Look out for diverse wildlife such as buffaloes, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, lions, zebras, giraffes, and various bird species. After 3-4 hours of exploration, return to your lodge for lunch and some relaxation.
In the afternoon, visit the Karamajong Manyattas for a cultural tour. Learn about the traditional lifestyle, dances, music, and other cultural practices of the Karamajong community. Return to your lodge for dinner and another night amidst the wild.
Day 3
Guided Nature Walk & Return to Kampala
Start your day with a hearty breakfast before setting out on a guided nature walk to the Kanangorok Hot Springs. Along the way, spot a variety of wildlife and bird species, including ostriches. After 2-3 hours of walking, return to your lodge for lunch.
Post-lunch, begin your journey back to Kampala with a scenic drive, taking in more of Uganda's breathtaking landscapes. A lunch stop will be arranged with your driver-guide. Depending on traffic and the exact time of departure, expect to arrive back in Kampala by evening, marking the end of your unforgettable 3-day safari with Lettuce Tours and Travel.
