Terms and Conditions

Booking Confirmation: All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation. Once your booking is confirmed and the required deposit is received, we will provide you with a booking confirmation that outlines the details of your itinerary and the services included.

Deposit Requirement: A 50% deposit of the total trip cost is required to secure your reservation. The deposit amount and deadline for payment will be communicated to you during the booking process. Failure to make the deposit within the specified timeframe may result in the cancellation of your reservation.

Payment Balance: The remaining 50% balance of your trip cost must be settled before your departure date. The deadline for balance payment will be communicated to you, typically no later than 14 days prior to your trip. Failure to settle the balance payment may result in the cancellation of your reservation, and cancellation fees may apply.

Cancellations and Refunds: If you need to cancel your booking, you must notify us in writing as soon as possible. Cancellation fees may apply, and the refund amount will be determined based on the cancellation policy specified at the time of booking. Please refer to the specific cancellation policy outlined in your booking confirmation.

Travel Insurance: We strongly recommend that you obtain comprehensive travel insurance to protect yourself against any unforeseen circumstances, such as trip cancellations, medical emergencies, or baggage loss. It is your responsibility to ensure that your travel insurance adequately covers your needs.

Travel Documents and Health Requirements: It is your responsibility to ensure that you have valid travel documents, including passports, visas, and any required vaccinations, as per the regulations of the countries you will be visiting. Lettuce Tours and Travel will not be held liable for any issues arising from inadequate travel documentation or failure to comply with health requirements.

Changes to Itinerary: While we make every effort to adhere to the confirmed itinerary, unforeseen circumstances or events beyond our control may necessitate changes to the itinerary. We reserve the right to make such changes and will inform you of any modifications as soon as possible. In the event of major changes, we will offer suitable alternatives or a refund as appropriate.

Limitation of Liability: Lettuce Tours and Travel acts as an intermediary between you and the various suppliers of travel services, such as accommodations, transportation, and activities. We are not liable for any loss, injury, damage, or delay that may occur during your travel. We recommend that you review the terms and conditions of each supplier regarding their liability.

Governing Law: These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Uganda. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Uganda.

Health and Safety: Your health and safety during your travel is of utmost importance to us. It is your responsibility to follow all safety instructions provided by Lettuce Tours and Travel and its partners, including tour guides and activity operators. You must also inform us of any medical conditions, allergies, or special requirements that may affect your participation in certain activities or accommodations.

Force Majeure: Lettuce Tours and Travel shall not be liable for any delays, changes, cancellations, or disruptions to your travel arrangements caused by circumstances beyond our control. These may include but are not limited to natural disasters, acts of terrorism, political unrest, airline disruptions, or weather conditions. We will make reasonable efforts to assist and offer suitable alternatives, but we cannot guarantee the availability or outcome of such arrangements.

Travel Advisories and Risks: It is your responsibility to stay informed about travel advisories, warnings, and risks associated with your destination(s). We recommend that you consult official government websites or seek advice from relevant authorities before and during your trip. Lettuce Tours and Travel will not be held responsible for any incidents or consequences resulting from your decision to travel to high-risk areas or against travel advisories.

Personal Belongings: You are responsible for your personal belongings throughout your travel. Lettuce Tours and Travel and its partners are not liable for any loss, theft, damage, or misplacement of your personal belongings, including but not limited to luggage, electronic devices, and valuable items. We recommend that you take appropriate precautions and obtain suitable insurance coverage for your belongings.

Code of Conduct: We expect all travelers to adhere to a respectful and responsible code of conduct during their trip. This includes complying with local laws, customs, and regulations, respecting the environment and local communities, and treating fellow travelers, guides, and staff with courtesy and respect. Any behavior that is deemed offensive, disruptive, or illegal may result in the termination of your travel arrangements without any refund.

Privacy and Data Protection: We are committed to protecting your privacy and personal information. Any personal information you provide during the booking process or during your travel will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We will only use your information for the purpose of providing the requested services and ensuring a smooth travel experience.

Amendments to Terms and Conditions: Lettuce Tours and Travel reserves the right to modify or update these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. It is your responsibility to review the terms and conditions periodically to stay informed about any updates or modifications.
